Why is the dodge caravan plagued with evaporator leaks?

I understand from searching the internet for my 99 Caravan that they use cheap evaporators. however, when I went to replace the evaporator, seems all of the aftermarket coils are from China. i received two that were damaged in shipping, one cost $107 and one was ac/delco $167, also from China. I just paid $457 for a Chrysler core and it looks anything but cheap, well made, heavy duty made in usa, also comes w/expansion valve already on it. Just get the Chysler one to begin with, save the headache. Labor is going to cost me $669. js
