Answermy daughter needs the following information for a school assignment & we can only locate one of the three yrs. How much was the cost of a movie ticket in 1956 & 1960? I recall .75 cents in 1977 for Star Wars mid-day showing, I have original stub! But as for 1960, I was only an infant...lol HELP!

in a book that i read that takes place sometime in the 1960s they only had to pay about 25 cents to get into a movie

If movie prices were 50 cents in 1956 then 1957 would be no more than 60 to 75 cents.. not 3.00 as in 1977.
In the UK, the pre-decimal equivalent of about 10-20 pence.
