It is possible, but of course this depends on the size, age and sex of the moose and the bear, and the species of the bear. A bull moose has strong, large antlers and long sharp hooves (cows only have their hooves to defend themselves with) that could do serious damage to the bear. Most bears, no matter the species, won't mess with an animal that can fight back, especially a moose. However, a bear like a large grizzly or Alaskan brown bear might be able to injure a moose if it was really angry, or large and fearless enough to put up a good fight against such a raging herbivore. A bear would have to claw and bite it's way out of a fight with a moose, but Lord help them if that moose is an angry bull on the rut with those powerful antlers. But as far as a moose being able to kill a bear, such cases may be rare because often either party would wish to run away to save themselves rather than getting killed.

Brian's experience with the moose in "Hatchet" is peaceful and ends without any confrontation, in contrast to the bear and wolf encounters where he faced danger and had to defend himself. Yes, if the kodiak bear avoided the moose's hooves and antlers (if it is a bull moose). Even a grizzly bear or an alaskan brown bear could kill a bull moose, but not when it is on the rut.

Who would win grizzly or moose?

The polar bear might have a chance to win because it can tear up the moose. With its strength and size advantage, a polar bear could break a moose's head with one swipe of its claws and a shatter of its horns with paws too. However, a moose would often run off from the polar bear unless if it got cornered. If that happens, the moose would try to kill the polar bear with its antlers, but the polar bear would kill it first.Probably the polar bear because when the moose tries hitting it with antlers, the polar bear would swipe its head to death.Another AnswerThe polar bear would most likely win this fight. A moose has those antlers that are strong enough to knock down a lion or a black bear with them if contacted at them. But a polar bear has those strengths and power with its claws to blow down the moose's head before the moose had a good chance to gore the polar bear to death. However, a polar bear can even kill and take down a musk ox without getting badly injured because a polar bear's size plus strength is good enough to kill such animals. A grizzly bear might also have a chance to kill a moose because the grizzly bear has been known to attack adult bull moose and kill them with their strength of claws. If a polar bear fight a moose, the polar bear would end up having a good prey to eat.

Why would a grizzly bear win a fight against a lion?

Grizzly bears have larger claws, larger jaws with sharper teeth, and a lot bigger size with more strength. A grizzly bear is a better fighter and can kill defend itself from a lion easily.

What are predators of moose?

Main predators of moose are grizzly bears, wolves, humans, and black bears.Grizzly bears-Grizzly bears often hunt both bull and cow moose in many cases. They do sometimes kill and feed on adult moose, but researches have shown that adult moose are also quite dangerous and strong even for a fully-grown big male brown bear to prey on.Wolves- Wolves do prey on adult moose occasionally when the moose is not very active or on the rut. A pack of wolves could kill an adult moose if they are lucky and smart and experienced, but some of the members could be very injured in most cases. Adult moose would usually pause the wolf pack and think more than twice. Young moose are more of a prey to a pack of wolves, but that is only when their is no cow moose to defend it.Humans- Humans have killed many moose for the past centuries in Northern America. Today, many moose can be near endangering if poaching or illegal hunting has not been stopped. We need to save moose population as well.Black bears- Black bears will actually attack anything that hinders them or comes to their territories, but usually not when they see a very big animal like an adult moose. Since a fully-grown adult moose can defend itself from a grizzly bear, then a black bear would definitely not try to hunt down the moose in most cases. Black bears do prey on the young ones that wander off away from the cow moose.
