Chlamydia does not cause swollen glands.
Well, sometimes it could be gingavitious, or other diseases!!!

Go to the emergency room. This sounds like some form of cancer, possibly with the thyroid gland involved. Go there now. Don't panic! Children are known to have swollen glands and it well could be thyroid (butterfly-shape from one side of the neck to the other and one side can just be swollen) or it could be swollen glands from tonsillitis. Let the doctor be the judge of this, but get your son into a doctor or ER as soon as possible.
