Sound DOES travel faster in solids than in gases. The higher the density of the medium, the faster the sound travels.
the granulated solids travel slower than powdered due to granulated have grains and it take time for it to travel through a funnel and it could get clumped up at the bottom of the funnel .As powdered it passes through not clumps
If you could travel faster than light, then you could also travel to the past. This is related to the definition of simultaneity, in the Special Theory of Relativity. If you could travel faster than light, then you could also travel to the past. In a nutshell. As most people could/would/should know is that matter is denser in a solid. AKA gas is less dense than solid. Sound waves travel through these gasses and solids. Sound travels like waves on water. With this effect, the matter in something such as a table is closer and denser than air. It travels faster as a result and you hear it better. Try it sometime by putting your head on a table then tapping it and taking your head off and tapping. The sound is significantly lower. This is ALSO why you cannot hear noise in space, go gas or solid for sound to go through = no sound. Sound relies on the compression and rarefaction of solids and gasses to get around. Again. Sound is like water waves. Answer by Mathew Cutshall
Nothing can travel faster than light, but highly energetic electrons come the closest. The others aren't even close.
Supersonic planes travel faster than sound. There are a lot of them. Most modern fighter jets can do it, and there have even been commercial planes that could (eg Concorde, Tu-144).

Gases, Liquids and solids are sometimes contrasted by the fact that liquids and gasses will take on the shape of the container that they are placed in while solids do not.
There are plenty of 2nd grade level sentences you could make up about solids, liquids, and gasses. You could say solids can be picked up and liquids are wet for example.

you wouldn't be able to no. sorry!
According to scientific theories, there is no such thing which exists in the universe faster than light. Einstein proposed the theory that if scientists could make anything which can travel faster than light that that could travel in time or in other words scientist could actually make a time machine

Honestly I don't have any facts to back this up. but I believe that snails travel faster downhill due to the fact that gravity is assisting them. Considering the method of which they travel ( by sliding over slime ) I would think you could move faster downhill as you would not have to push against gravity to move up.
