Can organisms create their own energy?

Not all organisms can create their own energy from the sun, only if you mean plants. We, humans, can't create energy from sun directly, but can indirectly create energy from plants through the food chain. Plants create energy through the process of photosynthesis, and we humans either eat the plant or eat the organism that ate the plant to obtain energy. Hope that helps!

How do they extract salt from rock salt?

By chemical procedures: grinding, dissolving, filtering, repeated crystallization/recrystallization processes.

What biological process does the plant need water for?

Photosynthesis is the biological process plants use to extract hydrogen from water. One hydrogen molecule is consumed to energise the process whilst the other hydrogen molecule is stored in the form of carbohydrate. Oxygen is released as a byproduct.

How do autotrophs and heterotrophs differ?

The autotrophs have the ability to manufacture their own food from the inorganic raw materials. They extract them from the outside source. They reside on the inorganic medium and require an external source of energy. They are known as producers and include the plants mainly. The heterotrophs do not have the ability to manufacture their own food from the inorganic raw materials. They extract the organic nutrients from the outside source. They reside seldom on the organic medium and do not require an external source of energy. They are known as consumers and include the animals mainly.

Which of these processes helps extract energy from food?

Digestion

What do organisms do with food?

Organisms typically break down food into simpler substances that can be absorbed b their bodies/cells, and then they either store those substances or use them to extract chemical energy or build other biological compounds to aid life processes.

What happens when you extract natural resources?

when you extract natural resources the organisms in that enviorment will have no food or shelter. they will either leave or die.

Does photosynthesis breaks down in your body?

No. Photosynthesis is the process that plants use to make food for their own energy usage. We use that food to extract food for ourselves.

What is the large reservoir of nitrogen that is unusable by most organisms?

The air is 80% nitrogen but most organisms are able to extract it from the air.

What drug extract is produced in Bolivia?

cocaine is extracted from coca plant

Is a worm a herbivores or carnivores?

It's neither, it processes the dirt it tunnels through to extract nutrients.

Why does plants and fungi use photosynthesis?

The basic answer would be that they use photosynthesis to extract nutrients from the sun's rays which they need to survive… I don't really know much about it… look up photosynthesis on google and I'm sure you can find a better answer.

Where does the oxygen for cellular respiration come from?

Large quantities of oxygen are dissolved in water and make up a large percentage of air. Organisms extract it from these media. The ultimate source of molecular oxygen in the air and water appears to be as a byproduct of photosynthesis in plants and some single-celled organisms.

How does phosphorus and potassium produced?

they are found in ores which are put in furnaces to extract the potassium and phosphorus.
