To remove outside rear view mirror. The safe thing to do is disconnect the battery first (I don't) 1-remove door panel, this is done by first removing 7 screws that retain the door panel. two of the screws are hidden under a plastic flap that is in the bottom of the finger hold in the door panel, one is on the back edge of the door panel, towards the top of the panel, three are along the bottom of the door panel. the last one is behind the plastic part that surrounds the inside door handle--pry it towards the rear, and pop it out. after the screws are out you have to carefully pull the panel away from the door, there are a variety of plastic clips that you pull out to get the panel loose. once the panel is loose have something to sit it on to keep it from dropping down. unplug the electrical connector that goes to the mirror next you need to pull the front of the inside window garnish away from the door. this will expose holes in the door frame, through which you can remove the nuts that hold the mirror onto the door (I think there are three) Pull the mirror and cable away from the door. Hope you didn't break to many plasic pieces.
