"Diction" in "Twilight" refers to the author's choice of words and language throughout the novel. Stephenie Meyer uses a simple and accessible language style, which helps create a relatable and immersive reading experience for the target audience of young adult readers. The diction also emphasizes the emotional and romantic aspects of the story, contributing to its overall tone and atmosphere.

In the book it is explained that 'twilight' is the safest time of day for Bella and Edward.

Furthermore - New moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn and Midnight sun - are all more title names for books that have a meaning in the book and have a relation to a time of day (lunar circle)

If you look up on the website - www.stephinemeyer.com

it should explain this answer in more detail.
