Yes, but may be an option
My '96 Ram Van has keyless entry. You posted in the Vans section, don't know if you have the truck, but in the vans, the keyless entry unit is behind the CD player (It also handles power locks so it[ll re-lock the doors if you had the back ones open)
Yes, some of the 1996 Dodge 1500s did come with keyless entry. It was not standard equipment.
The 1989 Buick Park Avenue does not come with a remote keyless entry. The keyless remote entry was not available till 1997.
It was optional.
It depends on model. XLE model comes usually with keyless entry LE only sometimes.
No, keyless entry was an extra-cost option.
Mine didn't come with a keyless remote.
Mine did not
Yes, it does. You can buy keyless entry online (may or may not come with instructions) or buy one from the dealership and they will program it to your car on the spot.
Mine did.
That is the sign that the system is arming. It does not set when you lock the doors manualy.
It was part of an option package
These models (1996 and 1997 I know about) do not have keyless entries when they come of the production line. If one does, it is dealer installed. The box can be found under the instrument panel, somewhere behind the parking brake pedal.
