There were theories and allegations and thoughts but all are wrong; She died at the age of 17 years and 27 days the whole family died in the year of 1918.

these are a few theories and thoughts

A Theory: They were taken into a basement and executed but it is said when either her or her brother was shot that the bullet bounced off some of the jewels on his/her outfit and survived. A woman once came forward saying she was Anastasia but was proved to not be.

Another theory: They whole family, except Anastasia, was taken to Siberia where they were killed. Anastasia had not been with the family for some reason when they were captured. Anastasia then grew up in places such as St. Petersburg, Paris, London etc.

A Third theory: The whole thing was staged, the family was secretly moved to New York City where they lived the rest of their lives in quiet solitude in a secret bunker beneath Central Park occasionally venturing to the surface dressed as everyday people to enjoy the city sights.

A Thought: There must be something to the Anastasia legend else it wouldn't exist. But who knows the truth? Maybe the explanation is as simple as this: Anastasia died or was killed someplace else and so the rumors started when word spread that all the royal family was executed except her at a certain location since she died or was killed elsewhere.

A second Thought: A popular television program did a documentary show in which they claimed they had verified the DNA of all of the royal family including Anastasia in the execution location. If this is true then she did die with the rest of her family and the story is just myth.

A third Thought: A book was written called Dreaming Anastasia. In the book Anastasia escaped by being taken away by Baba Yaga, and staying for centuries in her hidden hut.

No. the Anastasia you mention is medieval or earlier Middle-east- say Russo-Turkish theatre, saint. Anastasia Romanov, more properly Anastasia Nicolaievna- the daughter of Nicholai ( it would be bad usage to refer to her on the street, as Anastasia Romanov during the Empire, as bad as yelling ( Hey Betty Windsor!) at Queen Elizabeth II /. show some respect, the Last name was- understood and understated. she did not use the Anastasia Romanov handle until after the Diaspora, circa l922. Floreat Anastasia!

What is the myth behind Anastasia Romanov?

The Romanovs were executed in 1917, including Anastasia Romanov. But, during the course of the 20th century several women have turned up and claimed to be Anastasia Romanov, saying she had escaped the execution and was still alive. Since the discovery of the bodies of the Romanovs, the myth that Anastasia may have survived has only grown, as two bodies were missing (though no one knows which two kidd' bodies were missing) and some people see this as proof that Anastasia Romanov is still alive. That is the myth behind Anastasia Romanov.
