Andrew did write the original lyrics to the Music of the Night sung by Michael Crawford in 1986 for the London Stage. Then he asked Charles Harts to rewrite the lyrics Music of the Night to the present lyrics known today first sung by Michael Crawford on Broadway as the Phantom. There are three lyrics versions of the Music of the Night.
