Yes, Bing Crosby was a co-owner of the Birdseye frozen food brand. In the 1940s, he invested in the company, which was known for its quick-freezing technology and high-quality frozen vegetables. I'm not sure that he was. Actually, Bing Crosby's biggest career as a vocalist began in the 1920s, and he enjoyed his greatest success during the 1930s and 1940s, the so-called Big Band Era. He had hundreds of hits and was beloved by fans who heard him on radio (where he had his own program), or saw him in movies or in concert. Crosby did have one big pop hit in 1955, along with Grace Kelly-- "True Love," which went to #3 on the charts. But by the 50s, the most popular performers were in the rock and roll genre. Crosby did make some popular movies in the 1950s, including "High Society" (that is where the hit song "True Love" came from). But by the 1950s, he was definitely not the huge star he had been in the three decades previous.

Denise Crosby was not fired. She left on her own after being frustrated by the character's lack of depth. "I was struggling with not being able to do much with the character. I had all these ideas and couldn't do them. I was just stage dressing."
Evidently he bought his own boat and is fishing elsewhere. He will be missed on Deadliest Catch for certain.
