No. Just a standard 305 with a 2 barrel carburetor.
the 1986 Chevy truck 305 HO produced 180 hp
The 305 HO was the highest power version.
Around 180

If it's a HO then it definitely does, if its the normal one, you might not.
A Stock 305 Pushes Around 230hp/200 foot lbs torque @ 4900RPMs. But, I dynod my 1985 El Camino 305 HO with an Eldelbrok performer intake, dished pistons, with 58cc heads and 9:1 pistons at around 302hp. Must be wrong. I have just researched the engine in my '55 Chevy Pickup and find it is a 1984 305 LG4 which is rated at 150 hp. The 305 HO is rated at 190 hp. You did not say what YEAR 305 you started with. FYI - buyer beware - it was sold on EBay as having a 350 cu in in it.
The 305 "HO" was actually dropped after 1986. In '87, the base 305 TBI was rated at 170 hp, the 305 TPI was rated at 215 hp.
Yes. The HO engine in the Monte Carlo SS had higher compression, bigger valves, and a different cam.
Yes, it came with the 4bbl 305 HO running at around 180hp The 8th digit will tell the engine. A "K" is a 5.0 liter 305.

The HO engine had higher compression, bigger intake valves, and a different cam. Also, it was painted black.
