The former NASCAR driver whose two sons, Clifford and Davey, died within a year of each other is Dale Earnhardt. Clifford, who was involved in a tragic crash during a race in 1993, died at the age of 30, while Davey, also a successful driver, died in a helicopter crash in 1993 at the age of 27. Their deaths were significant losses to the racing community and the Earnhardt family.
Well let me explain what a Davey Allison T-bird is, it was a special edition Thunderbird that Ford put out in remembrance to Davey Allison's death. He was a famous Nascar driver. When he died so did the sprit of the T-bird. Thus here came this bad 290 HP Thunderbird. And I got this for a deal of only $5,929 and the best thing is collector status of being one of 2500 made. As for the engine it was a 5.0 H.O. with the 1993 cobra heads and cam. The computer is a little bit different - it was set up as a cobra computer unit, but for the automatic transmission. It has a standard T-bird intake and other T-bird goodies. I have one of them & it was first premiered at Bristol Spring race along with a Bill Elliot edition. I got my car 2 weeks before Davey died.
