Hera, like all other Greek deities, was a force of nature with both positive and negative aspects.

Thus, as the patron goddess of air, her favor was clear skies and rain storms and cool breezes, while her disfavor was shown by storms. She, as a goddess Queen herself, was the high goddess of mortal kings and their dynasties and kingdoms. If a man had sons, it was seen as her favor - if he had no children at all, her hand was turned against him.

As a goddess of women she protected women of marriageable age (when they passed from the protection of Artemis, Hera was then their goddess). Hera was the goddess of marriage, a good stable marriage was seen as her favor, and if either was unfaithful it was fully believed that Hera would punish that person - as Hera had punished the consorts of Zeus.

Birth too was a aspect of Hera's domain, a quick birth in which the mother and baby lived was seen as her protection while any pregnancy that ended with death was seen as her disfavor. The Greek gods and goddesses were seen as very personal deities of the individual; they had mysterious ways and moods but were very like mortals in that no one is all good or all bad, we can be both.

According to legend, the Trojan War was fought over Helen of Troy, but even if this is true (as perhaps it is) I do not necessarily blame Helen herself for the war; it was really the fault of those who chose to fight over her. Being beautiful is not a crime. Still, war is bad, innocent people are killed, and there is much destruction. Everything considered, whether it was her fault or not, I would have to say that Helen of Troy brought evil to humanity. If the legends are true. I can't say for certain that such a person as Helen of Troy even existed.
