This is somewhat of a sticky subject. He had never since mentioned it nor has anyone asked him but on his cd "Life and Times of Shawn Catrer Vol. 1" he mentions in the song "you must love me" that at one point he did. If you pay close attention to the lyrics, you see it is a narration of things he did as a youth that he was not proud of which included shooting his brother in the shoulder and selling drugs to his mother after she was separated from either his father. He metioned that he sold her crack.
