Jesus died in AD. Anno Domini (AD) means Year of Our Lord, referring to Jesus.
Jesus died sometime between 29-33 AD.
Dear, my question is regarding the terms BC and AD. When we are not sure of Jesus's birth and death, what does it make sense to use BC and AD?
BC since BC stands for "Before-Christ" AD stands for "After-Death" reffering to Jesus' death.
BC goes before 0 on the timeline. AD goes after. BC stands for "before Chris" as if Jesus Chris. becouse it is befor jesus was born. AD stands for after death. i think it is obvious why.
BC is the time before jesus christ was born therefore BC is BEFORE CHRIST and AD refers to the time after christ was born
this is what i learnt. BC is Before Christ that mean before Jesus was born or and AD is After Death (of Jesus) so it is 2010 years ago hope I'm right~
Ad means ano domini and bc means before christ bc and ad are both time periods in history bc was before Jesus was born and ad is the time period that we are in now hope I have kind of answered your question
BC means Before Christ (Before Jesus Christ was born) AD means After Death (The death of Jesus Christ)
bc comes first because bc stands for before christ
AD or Anno Domini in latin means 'in the year of our lord'. 0 AD is when jesus is supposed to have died. all time before that is now known as BC and all time after is AD. BC (before christ)
