By George No! It is known that his old man, King Edward Vii was something of a Ladies Man, as Prince- I have never heard this argument. King Edward was also a tobacco addict, a well known brand of Cigars bears his name. It is common knowledge the Edwards Hotel in Hoboken- note absence of Crown or apostrophe, was named in his honor, but this is not official. it dates to l902- his coronation year! ( Victoria died in l90l and about a year was set aside in Mourning).
