What was apostle paul racial background?

The Apostle Paul was a Jew from the tribe of Benjamin. He was born in Tarsus in Cilicia, which was under Roman rule and the Romans authorized all who was from Tarsus to be Roman Citizens. Paul was a Pharisee, which meant that he followed the Torah. The Pharisee's had made so many man made laws and added them to the Law of Moses that the Jewish religion was quite polluted. Paul had gotten papers from the Jewish leaders that permitted him to track down and imprison Christians as he believed that this "new" belief was a threat to Judaism. He was on his way to Damascus to arrest more Christians when he was confronted by Jesus Christ and was at that time brought to Christ as a new believer. Paul was called to be the Apostle to the Gentiles.

Did Jesus teach the apostle Paul?

Paul and Jesus never met while Jesus was still alive. Paul claimed to have had a vision on the road to Damascus in which Jesus spoke to him. Paul also claimed to have received revelations in dreams, which formed the basis of his teachings, many of which were at odds with other Christian leaders of the time, including the Peter.

Where did Jesus take apostle Paul?

Nowhere. The only time Jesus met Paul was briefly on the road to Damascus after he (Jesus) was already dead and resurrected. And even then Jesus didn't take Paul anywhere, he sent him on to Damascus. Jesus took Paul into the dessert of Arabia. This is where God spent three years with Paul teaching him about the gospel and about His son Jesus. Paul had to go through this transformation before he could minister to the people ( Jews and Gentiles). Galatians 1:15-18

Did Saint Paul live at the same time with Jesus?

No, Saint Paul did not live at the same time as Jesus. Saint Paul was a Jewish man who lived after the time of Jesus and became a prominent figure in spreading Christianity through his missionary work.

Did Jesus and Paul live around the same time?

Biblical answer: Yes, although he was not a believer while Jesus was on Earth. He actually was highly opposed and persecuted Christians for a few years. Then the resurrected Jesus appeared to him, blinded him (he was later cured), and called him to be an apostle. This was only a few years after Jesus' death, but we don't know how old Paul was at the time. We do know that he was a highly educated Jew that was given authority by the Jewish religious leaders of the time to seek out Christians and try to stop their preaching. So he would have been an adult, and would have been alive during Jesus' life. The account of Paul's conversion is in Acts chapter 9.
