In or near the City of London. He had various houses during his acting and writing career. We are aware of one of them because he got behind in his taxes. We know that he rented rooms from a French wigmaker named Mountjoy because he got called as a witness in a lawsuit between Mountjoy and another man.

Nobody knows.

The period between 1585, when he was almost certainly in Stratford, and 1592, when there is the first mention of one of his plays being performed in London, is known as Shakespeare's Lost Years.

There are no records, official or otherwise, of where he lived or what he did.

No. Shakespeare spent about half his life in his hometown of Stratford, the years 1564-1586(?) and 1613-1616. The rest of his life, 1586(?)-1613, was spent in London with only an occasional trip to Stratford where his wife and children lived.
