There is another series of Avatar, however this is set 70 years in the future, presenting the new Avatar "Korra".
Zuko is dead, and most likely he never found his mother, unless of course (Aang's spirit) reveals something in the past about Zuko's mother to Korra.

I know right!!! It never actually tells you which is really sad but at the same time it's nice to have some mystery left. In the last episode, Sozin's Comet, at the very end you see Zuko asking his father but it doesn't actually tell you, I guess Zuko never finds out either. Zuko became Fire Lord so he had the power. He was very strong-willed and would find out before the final scene.
