I believe it was the first year of seat belts being standard equipment on the Thunderbird.
In the year 1949 seat belts became an option in cars.
No, the 1957 Chevy didn't come with seat belts.
Not if they did not come from the factory with seat belts. If they came form the factory with seat belts you are required to wear them.
Seat belts, yes.
Yes, the 68 VW came with seat belts for both front and back sets. The front seats for the Beetle were 3 point retractable seat belts and lap belts in the rear.
Nash in 1959 offered them as an option
It seems that they were available as an option but did not come standard. Here is a link to a car that has them from the factory: http://home.pacbell.net/davriker/Wagon%20Web/my1963.htm
1955 In 1955 Ford offered for the first time lap belts as an option on it's cars. Saab was the first car manufacturer to introduce seat belts as standard equipment in 1958.
my 66 charger had seat belts front and rear, don't remember if they were standard equiptment or an option back then.
Yes
Yes
Some of the 1991 models have automatic seat belts, in fact, I think all of them do. So, I think it is safe to assume your 92 model came with the automatic belts. I have a 1992 Honda Accord EX and I have manual seatbelts, so maybe it was an option... but not standard....
