Physically, God (the one true God) has never been seen. However, he came to earth in Human form (Jesus his son). The Bible says in Genesis that man was created in God's own image. If you are curious as to what God looks like, it's safe to say that he looks like us. :-)

Thousands of people saw Jesus when He was on the earth for over thirty years from around 4BC to around 33 AD. This includes many who did not believe in Him or follow Him. Jesus' existence is not also just attested in writing by the Christian scriptures but also by opponents. The Jewish writings speak of Him, as does Josephus (the full details of which are disputed but nevertheless a reference to Jesus) and does the Emperor Julian the Apostate. These latter two of course never saw Him, but they are attesting with certainty of His existence for others to see.

It is a matter of faith whether people can, or ever have, seen God. The Bible says that a number of people have seen God, including Adam, Moses, Joshua and St. Stephen. However, one early Bible source suggests that no one can see God and live, Moses excepted.

On the other hand, atheists say that God does not really exist. No one has ever seen God and no one can.
