no he didnt!! people told their own beliefs to others and that's how PEOPLE made their different religions.....

ANSWER 2:

My understanding is that God sent Messengers (e.g., Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Jesus...) to different people at different times according to the needs of mankind. These formed the basis of what became the world religions that were formed by men. Rather than view the teachings as continuing revelations from God as humanity progressed through the Ages, most held to their own beliefs and refused the advanced revealed teachings that formed each later world religion.

Different religions have different beliefs about the origins of the universe and humanity, including the role of a divine being or beings. From a religious perspective, some faiths believe that their god or gods created all religions, while others assert that their religion is the true path and others are false. Ultimately, the question of whether God made all religions varies depending on one's religious beliefs.

What common goal do all religion share?

All religions teach us to believe in God, all religions teach us to love one another, to be kind and compassionate, all religions ask us to live a moral life. There may be different interpretations, and religions and followers of religions may do different things but the commonality between all religions is for us to love God, to seek God, and achieve God. Unfortunately, religions are only a kindergarten, they teach us the ABC of God, then we go round and round in a merry-go-round and we die without going beyond the kindergarten of religion. We don't need to change our religion, but we need to go beyond religion to the university of spirituality which will help us to realize God in the temple of our heart.

Why is there only one god yet there exists so many different religions?

Different religions have different opinions about the one God. My own opinion about this is that God has sent different Messengers with His instructions, teachings, etc., at different times, but not all people recognize the different representatives as coming from one and the same God. Note, also, that not all religions actually believe in one single god.
