Nope. Ranma and Akane are really the ones who are suppose to be married. In the Manga, Ranma and Akane attempt to get married be it end up in a disaster so they decide to get married later, and that's where the series ends.
All and all, Shampoo does NOT marry Ranma.

∙ 14y agoAt the end of the series, it never really tells you who ends up with who, but in the finally volume, Ranma and Akane are getting married. Of course, everyone else shows up and ruins the celebration, but the final story really implies that Ranma and Akane are the two that will end up together.

∙ 11y agoThe closest person would be Akane. He loves Akane, and tells her that at the end of the manga, and through out the series Akane as well shows she is in love with him too. Ranma and Akane come close to getting married at the end of the manga, but old rivals and Master Happosai end up destroying it so that is the most closure there. There are a few more cute scenes, in the manga that weren't in the original seasons such as the living dojo uniform, when Ranma returns back from China and Akane hugs him, and when Ranma falls into the mirror. A few others are Ranma puts his arm around Akane at Christmas, and the scene where they are coming back from Ryugenzawa and are holding hands, but these last two are in the OAV though :).
