Sort of. He was a young British officer when asked to escort a French diplomat and while doing this the man was killed by an Native American that was part of the party. Washington was blamed for the death because he was in charge and even though he couldn't speak or read French he signed a confession in French admitting to the death.

∙ 11y agoGeorge Washington. George Washington was sent out to help the British control the west and he set up a camp in Great Meadows. He heard that the French intended to attack. So he launched a preemptive strike, and that was the start of the French and Indian War.
