Yes, though this part of history has been attempted to be scratched from the record due to the many casualties to both sides of this horrendous tragedy. General McPhearson was the American in charge, he led over 4,500 men to the dense forests deep in Germany. However Ulrich Von Vlischor, leading the German troops, received Intel that America was on their way to stop their plans. The Intel was Provided by a man named John Longthorp. Originally a Colonialist from Great Britain, turned against the new land based on new personal beliefs, thought the new land was corrupt and felt Germany had a much better form of Government. Ulrich had expected that the Americans would come by thousands and he was prepared. He showed up with 6,000 men. (that's 1,500 more men than America had brought) After only a short three month battle in the forests of Germany America's men had dropped to only 600, Germany's to just over 900. McPhearson wasn't going to take this lying down though. Through strategic planning and maneuvers he was able to make his way with his last 600 men around the Germans main (and last) camp, McPhearson was the only man to show himself at the camp. Ulrich found this as a pleasant surprise. He thought McPhearson was surrendering. McPhearson had made his position clear and strong. He was not there to surrender, he was there to win this battle turned war. With McPhearson's men hidden among the trees using simple yells, clacks, and other various noises bouncing off the trees made it seem like their tiny group of 600 men was really twice if not three times their real size. Ulrich soon realized he was no longer any match for the American forces and surrendered with his honor and dignity.
