Some people say they do, some say they don't. Whatever you think, you should be aware that vampires are basically creations of fiction writers based on old folk tales.

---

They do not exist, plain and simple. The mythological vampire cannot exist without violating many obvious natural laws. The "real" vampires--those who claim they have an energy deficiency and therefore need to drink blood or absorb psychic energy-- believe in something that has no factual basis. The "life-force" energy, while investigated in other forms, has no evidence to support its use in this manner.

---

Impressionable young people may be attracted to the romantic aspects of vampirism, and some individuals are psychologically deluded that they can become vampires. But few of the popular conceptions of vampires have even the flimsiest basis in scientific fact.
