The only difference is the energy required to obtain the same speed. The extra weigh of a truck means that more energy is required to move the greater mass as Force = Mass x acceleration (F = MA). Thus if more mass is being accelerated more force is required.

Speed = distance travel / time taken to travel. (S = D/T)

Thus speed would be the same for a car and a truck.
