Tramadol is a drug used to treat pain that is severe and needs around-the-clock treatment. Codeine is a drug used to treat pain for a short period of time.
Your dr. might try to give u tramadol first before he gives u codeine because tramadol is a lot weaker then codeine and non addicting but yes they are both pain killers but no they are nothing alike! For me tramadol does nothing.
What is the difference between Codeine Phosphate & Dihydrocodeine?
I'm unaware of any formulation which contains both tramadol and codeine, nor can I think of any real benefit to doing so. They're both opioid analgesics and do pretty much the same thing, so there's little point in combining them.
Codeine might be a good alternative.
I dont think so.
Can it work like tramadol
i may not be an expert, but, to me, it sounds like the color.
Neither of these should be used to treat anxiety. Both Tramadol and Codeine are used to treat pain. There are lots of medications to treat anxiety. Codeine can be very addictive! Talk to your doctor......

Tramadol HCL is generic for Ultram, which is a weaker painkiller than Codeine and it is safe -- in low doses to take them together. But it is probably not safe to take both together in high doses.
Any narcotic and some non-narcotic painkillers could replace Tramadol. Some examples are hydrocodone, or codeine.
