Egestion is the discharge or expulsion of undigested material (food) from a cell in case of unicellular organisms, and from the digestive tract via the anus in case of multicellular organisms.
It should not be confused with excretion, which is getting rid of waste formed from the chemical reaction of the body, such as in urine, sweat.
Egestion:-
Removal of undigested food or faeces from the gut. In most animals egestion takes place via the anus, although the invertebrate flatworms must use the mouth because their gut has no exit. Egestion refers solely to indigestible matter which is never absorbed into the cells - it should not be confused with excretion of the waste products of metabolism.
Excretion is the transfer of substances out of a living organism into its environment. At its simplest, for single-cell forms of life, this involves extrusion across the cell membrane of the unwanted or potentially toxic by-products of respiration and metabolism. This is also what is happening continually in the individual cells of the animal body, but from their immediate environment substances must move into the blood to be carried away to the site of their ultimate disposal. In the animal body there is also another type of excretion: expulsion of the residue of substances which have not been absorbed into the body proper from the gut (which can be considered a tunnel through the body of the external world).
elimination is the removal of wastes and undigested food from the body
but excretion is the removal of only metabolic wastes which are wastes that have been produced by chemical reactions of the body cells.
excretion is a type of elimination.
Excretion- Getting rid of waste formed from the chemical reaction of the body, such as in urine, sweat. It is also the removal of toxic waste materials outside the body.
Egestion- Discharge or expulsion of undigested material from a cell in case of unicellular organisms, and from the digestive tract via the anus in case of multicellular organisms. It is also the removal of nitrogenous waste materials outside the body.
Digestion is the mechanical and chemical breakdown of food, beginning in the mouth with chewing and salivary amylase, and continuing in the stomach with hydrochloric acid. Then absorption occurs in the small intestine, as your body takes in the nutrients from the dissolved food, followed by the uptake of water in the large intestine, so that you don't have diarrhea to the point where you die of dehydration (ain't that a pretty picture). Excretion is the act of defecating or urinating. Defecation continues the digestive process, as the indigestible waste left over in your large intestines is concentrated in your feces and stored in your rectum until you let it all out. Urination begins as your blood is filtered of toxins (mostly urea) in the kidneys. This filtered "stuff," also known as urine or pee travels down your ureters into your bladder, until you're ready to go, when it travels through your urethra and OUT.
THAT'S the difference. Have a nice day! :p
excretion os the process of elemination of waste products of metabolism and other non usefull material.in human there are two main processof excretion i.e the formation of urine in kidney and the formation of carbon dioxide in respiration
Ingestion: is physically taking food into the body. Egestion: is the removal of undigested food or matter (faeces) from the body.
Excretion refers to the removal of metabolic waste made in the body. Elimination is the removal of indigestible material in the body.
Egestion is the process of getting rid undigested material such as faceas. Excretion is the process fo getting rid of unnecessary or TOXIC materials from the body.
Egestion - the removal of faeces (indigestible materials) from the body
Excretion - the removal of waste products that have been made in the body
egestion is the removal of undigested food from the gut while excretion is the process of eliminating waste products of the metabolism and other other non-useful material.
Digestion - the breaking down of food into small molecules Egestion - the removal of indigestible material (faeces) from the body
Yes, egestion does take place in the plant cells. Plants also have toxic substances and waste matter which must be removed. The process of egestion removes such substances.
I think for me the process of excretion with the process of defecation is by the process of excretion with the process of defecation. Therefore the defecation is the process of excretion by the process of defecation. Some says excretion is the process with the defecation process. That's why the organ contrast the process of excretion with the process of defecation.
Osmoregulation is the maintenance of the amounts of water and salts in body fluids. Excretion is a process of homeostasis. In this process, nthe metabolic wastes are eliminated from body to maintain the internal conditions at equilibrium.
egestion is the removal of undigested food from the gut while excretion is the process of eliminating waste products of the metabolism and other other non-useful material.
no
Emptying your bowels.
Another word for egestion is defecation. Egestion should not be confused with excretion, as excretions can be in the form of urine and sweat also. Egestion is specific to removing waste via expulsion or digesting using the anus.
Excretion, Egestion, Respiration etc.
Digestion - the breaking down of food into small molecules Egestion - the removal of indigestible material (faeces) from the body
how can you distinguish between them
The bits of food that can not be digested are sent to the large intestine where they are stripped from most of their water, this food, which is now Feces, is stored in the rectum until it is eradicated from the body during a bowel movement.
In egestion the undigested materials come out from the body
Digestion is when the food cant be broken down so it goes into the stomach for breakdown and egestion is when the roken food goes through juices and goes towards the anus.
distinguish between book keeping and accounting
The difference between excretion and defecation is excretion is the removal of waste and defecation is the removal of undigested waste. During defecation, the nutrients are absorbed by the body before being removed from the body.
