in anchorage they used to have winter community at the spenard hostel. very lovely large older home near a lot (for Alaska particularly where most stuff is miles away)

If i were younger i would go live up there in a New York minute.

The disadvantages of a hostel:

• Generally there are up to 8 people in the larger rooms, it can be difficult to have your own room.
• They are not as "luxurious" as a hotel, you generally have to pay for your own towels, and may be required to bring your own sleeping bag, or pay extra for sheets.
• If you are a light sleeper you may find sleeping in a hostel room difficult, as other travelers come and go at odd hours.
• Some hostels have "lock out" hours.

If you are a looking for an affordable place to spend the night, and are aware that hostels are a more community environment than a Hotel. A hostel may be a great choice for you. They can be a great place to meet people. The workers are generally very helpful and often give you maps and ideas of places to see. Some hostels even give you free meals!

A good thing to do is check out online reviews of the hostel before you stay as each hostel can have its own advantages and disadvantages.

I'm tired of waking up at 4.00 am and sleeps at 11.00 pm everyday in my hostel.

I also hate the senior that treats the junior as a servant.
