Importation of food from other countries can increase the risk of getting the 'eco-bug' which is no more common in the warm weather. It also decreases the number of availabile jobs in the country receiving the product. It also increases risks of other deseases from which the country is exporting the goods. Many of the people exporting the goods aren't treated with fair trade. This means supermarkets buy the food far too cheaply and don't pay enough for the workers labour. Hence they are cheaper in the supermarkets which everyone will buy because it is supporting the non-fair trade exportation so you will end up encouraging supermarkets to pay the cheap amount over and over again.
