∙ 12y agothe difference between a knowledge worker and a wisdom worker are as follows:
1)A knowledge worker(KW) tends to follow a hectic life pattern;a KW is always seeking to garner knowledge,skills & experience from outside and hence he leads a busy life attending courses, interacting with others,trying to learn on the job and off the job.He is so busy that he does not have the time to look back at himself,his obligations & responsibilities and what others expect from him.
A wisdom worker(WW) tends to evolve an intense life pattern; a WW on the other hand is always looking inwards therefore he has an intense lifestyle.A WW understands his obligation, his responsibilities and acts likewise according to what others expect from him.
2)A KW thinks all knowledge is objective: a KW believes all knowledge is out there and you need to pick up knowledge & skills through training and up gradation
A WW on the other hand realizes that all knowledge is subjective because knowledge cannot be just evaluated on the basis of content baut has to be evaluated from the subjective or emotional or value framework for which it is used.
3)A KW is driven primarily by the urge to control the external environment and others while the WW's primary focus is on control of himself.
4)A KW is usually egoistic while WW is usually humble. A egoist KW does not always indicate performance related efficiency. It only indicates how important the person thinks himself to be. A WW is always humble even when he is successful and efficient in performance.
