No, they tend to avoid humans.
Wolves are predators that eat meat, so it's quite possible that wolves could attack and kill a human. However, a wolf pack's main food sources are deer, caribou, rabbits, elk, & moose. Sometimes they eat berries, birds, beaver, fish, and insects also.

While it is possible for wolves to kill humans, it is rather unlikely. For one thing, wolves prefer deer or forest prey over humans, and as long as there is something for them to hunt in the woods, they will have little reason to come after humans. It's only when we cut down the forests, or kill too many of the animals wolves need to survive that they venture onto farms where humans keep sheep or cattle, or near homes where humans live.

All large predators are capable of killing a human, but few of them do. It usually happens when the predators have few places to hunt or few animals to hunt. This is exactly why we must balance our uses of the forest against the needs of those who have to live there. Wolves help maintain a proper balance between themselves and other species so that no one kind of animal can take over. For instance, if there were no wolves, deer could take over and destroy habitat due to over grazing.

As long as we respect that a wolf will do what he must to survive for reasons of pure instinct alone, we can modify our uses of forest resources so that there will be little need for them to come looking to put us on the menu.

No, they're not, though many people do not like them because they kill livestock. Gray wolves are like lions to the forest. When people think of wolves, they think "sneaky" and "sly". But that's wrong. They're wonderful, beautiful animals. If anything, we are a danger to them. Many wolves didn't deserve to die, but they did from farmers while wolves can get hungry.

An arctic wolf would only ever eat a human if they either found one dead in the wild, and they'd have to be pretty hungry at that. Wolves in general try to avoid humans when possible, and would only ever attack if the human made a threatening move towards them or they were starving. Humans most certainly do not make up an arctic wolf's diet, then no, an arctic wolf wouldn't eat a human unless it was essential for them to survive.

The Arctic wolf is relatively unafraid of people, and can be coaxed to approach people in some areas. It has occasionally acted aggressively toward humans. Otto Sverdrup wrote that during the Fram expedition, a pair of wolves attacked one of his team-mates, who defended himself with a skiing pole. In 1977, a pair of scientists were approached by six wolves on Ellesmere Island, with one animal leaping at one of the scientists and grazing a cheek. A number of incidents involving aggressive wolves have occurred in Alert, Nunavut, where the wolves have lived in close proximity to the local weather station for decades and become habituated to humans. However, there are no records of Arctic wolves actually eating a human.
