They believe that there is no afterlife and that a select few will be able to life forever (known to Rastas as 'Everliving') in their current physical bodies or their spiritual body. They also believe that heaven and Jah (God) is on earth and is not separate from earth, so to live forever they must find God and heaven on earth.

∙ 10y agoThe majority of Rastafarians share a disbelief in Hell as a literal place of torment and hold a belief in the doctrine that Heaven on Earth is obtainable. This is a view shared by early Christians before, as many would tell us today, the messages of the Bible were "corrupted". If we examine The Bible or the Quran carefully, nowhere does it say that Hell is anything but the state of mind that exhudes and is a part of those who engage in evil behavior, and for those who are not truly evil there is always hope for reform and "feeling better".
So in short, Rastas believe in reincarnation and withhold from judgment about what happens when we die. Selassie I, an incorruptible, loving Christian probably did not believe in a literal Hell.
