Do V6 Toyota valves tighten when wearing? Well first of all - one has to determine what exactly your question means. Do valves tighten? I have to assume you mean does the valve lash diminish. So I am guessing you are asking that when valve and seat face surfaces wear - does the lifter gap (or lash) get smaller (or diminish). The answer is no. First off - valve and seat face wear is very very minimal. Any wear that could occur here is exceeded by the wear to the lifter/shim/valve stem end. Most experienced technicians will tell you that no adjustment or shim replacement should ever be necessary. That is correct. Unless you have extreme case like trying to get half a million miles out of the engine.
If valve seats were ever replaced, and the inserts were not completely seated at installation, then the lash could diminish over time as the seats fully bottomed in the bores. But you never presented that as the case.
Ticking in an engine generally refers to the valves. If ticking is apparent on a 1994 Chevy Lumina tighten the valves to factory specifications.
It took me some research (apparently some people say yes and some no) but a v6 Toyota engine--even a late 80's model is NOT an interference engine-- but have your timing belt and pump replaced at 100,000 miles.
The 1998 Toyota Camry V6 has about 150HP
I only know of one, it is on front top of engine on the left side. it is a small screw/bolt just loosen until coolant runs clear from it then tighten it back up. do not tighten to much, it will break off.
Diagram Where is the thermostat on a 89 toyota camry v6
The 4 cyl. has 16 valves and the v6 has 24 valves.
The v6 engines have valves burn out constantly, which will cause both the damaged cylinder and the one across from it to misfire.
where is the number one cylinder on an 88 Toyota 3.0 v6
how do u chance the serpentine belt on a Toyota v6 solara
That would depend on which engine you have : The 3.0 liter " Vulcan " V6 engine has a total of ( 12 valves / 2 valves per cylinder ) The 3.0 liter DOHC " Duratec " V6 engine has a total of ( 24 valves / 4 valves per cylinder )
On a 1996 Ford Taurus : The 3.0 liter " Vulcan " V6 engine has ( 2 valves per engine cylinder , total of 12 valves ) The 3.0 liter " Duratec " DOHC , V6 engine has ( 4 valves per engine cylinder , total of 24 valves )
