No, Adipex does exact oppsite. I've been on it for over a year and I've never taken it in hopes of going to sleep. If I want to go to sleep I wont take it,lol. Besides the jolt of energy the avg person feels from adipex, it also suppresses your hunger quite well. Adipex is a form of Amphetamine, like "meth" . Its a central nervous system stimulant. Take it when you know you will be awake for at least 10-13 hours. Sometimes I will take just half in the morning and half at about 1 or 2pm, to avoid the jittery jolt you sometimes get when taking it. As always drink plenty of water, too. This medicine tends to give you dry mouth.
