Best Answer

This depends entirely on whether the mammal is a carnivore (meat eater), herbivore (plant eater), or omnivore (eating just about anything). There are also the insectivores (insect eaters) and frugivores (fruit eaters).
Mammals live in a variety of habitats so they eat a variety of food. Some like horses and cattle are herbivores and eat grass and vegetation. Some like lions, tigers are carnivores and eat flesh of other animals. Some like whales and dolphins live in the sea and eat fish and shrimps etc. Some like humans are omnivores and eat meat and vegetation.

No.

Grass is quite difficult to digest, and it takes a special kind of teeth to chew it properly. Grass eating is pretty much limited to the grazing herbivores.
