∙ 14y agoNo, but they are intricately tied together. Muscles are the tissue that move the bones. They attach to bones and when they contract they pull on the bones allowing you to move. The bones are what gives your body its shape. They are the framework like the boards in the walls of your home. Without bones, we would just be quivering blobs of tissue incapable of moving around.

∙ 12y agoNo. Only skeletal muscles are connected to bones. They don't attach directly to the bones, but are attached by tendons that emerge at the ends of the muscle groups or individual muscles. Smooth muscles are organ muscles, and cardiac muscle is specialized conductive muscle of the heart.
while only skeletal (striated) muscles are connected to bones, some skeletal muscles are connected only within soft tissues, and do not connect to bone. All muscles under voluntary control are skeletal muscles. The only ones not connected directly to bone are some of the facial muscles and some sphincters.
All muscles that are under involuntary control, other than cardiac muscle, are smooth muscles. The muscles that constrict and dilate your blood vessels, or those that control the urinary bladder, are examples of smooth muscle. but the voluntary sphincter muscle of the urethra that allows us to control urination is skeletal muscle.
The heart muscle is also involuntary muscle, and the heart will continue to beat without any stimulation from the nervous system, as long as it has a blood supply. Cardiac muscle contains its own electrical generators (pacemakers) and fibers to contract the muscle layer.
