Nope -- they do just exactly the opposite: inhale and use oxygen, and exhale more carbon dioxide, just as all mammals do. This was an old wive's tale that's been around for years, that goes on to say cats can suck away a baby's breath -- which has no basis in fact whatsoever.

It is a mixture of: nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and oxygen. True, we breath out carbon dioxide, but most of the gasses we breath in are carbon dioxide, most of the oxygen we breath in doesnt even reach our hearts, this is how we breath the air gets to out lungs allowing us to breath

Animals exhale carbon dioxide and inhale oxygen just as humans do.

Do arctic wolves inhale and exhale oxygen?

Like all animals, they inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.

What produces the carbon dioxide you inhale?

Most living animals inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide plants try to compensate for that so they can live on earth by soaking up the carbon dioxide for photosynthesis and excreting oxygen therefore we are inhaling the carbon dioxide we create

What does oxygen do to photoynthesis?

Photosynthesis takes in carbon dioxide and H2O (water) and spits out oxygen and glucose (sugar). Cellular respiration takes that oxygen and glucose and spits out carbon dioxide and H2O. plants inhale what animals exhale, and animals inhale what plants exhale.

What mammals breathe?

Mammals inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide, as do all animals.

How do plants and animals help each other in exchange of gases in atmosphere?

During the process of photosynthesis release oxygen and animals (we) inhale oxygen and release carbondioxide. This is how plants and animals depend on each other by symbiosys. Hope that helps...

Where does blood get a new suppy of oxygen?

From the lungs. In the lungs of animals, humans included, there is an interchange of oxygen for carbon dioxide. So we inhale oxygen(air) and exhale carbon dioxide.

Which gas do animals remove from the air?

The gas that is taken in by animals is oxygen. Animals absorb oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. Plants take in carbon dioxide and let out oxygen.

Which do you inhale when you breathe oxygen or carbon dioxide?

Oxygen

What are two requirements for respiration?

Oxygen , carbon dioxide and a pair of lungs. Animals inhale Oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide, through the lungs. Plants inhale carbon dioxide amd exhale oxygen, by photosynthesis. The carbon component of CO2 forms part of the biomass of the plant'.

Why are oxygen and carbon dioxide colorless and odorless?

because oxygen and carbon dioxide are what we inhale like wind

What is the air chambers inside an animals body where blood get oxygen and give off carbon dioxide?

It is the lungs. it is there it is simple. when one breathes you inhale oxygen when you exhale you exhale carbon dioxide
