I've always been told that bettas should live seperately which seem rediculous because they don't live like that in nature. Yes, bettas can live with other fish. Male bettas can get along with plecos, some tetras, mollies, guppies (not the fancy sort), etc. They should not be put with fish that have long fins, nor should they be kept with fish nippers (like barbs). Males can not live with other bettas though. Female bettas can live with other female bettas (as long as there are more than two females since they have a pecking order). Female bettas can live with the type of fish I described for the male, as well. Just be careful with tank mates, and have a back up plan if the fish do not get along. Make sure each fish has plenty of space and love, and you should be fine.

Yes you can put Bettas in with other fish. Bettas are sometimes called fighting fish because they fight with each other so you shold NEVER get more then one betta because they will kill each other almost instantly. Bettas will not harm any other type of fish then its self. Bettas are very friendly fish and they will do great in you tank but i wouldn't get one if you have any serpaia tetras becasue they will nip at the bettas fins constantly. You will see some of your fish nip at the bettas fins a little bit though. So don't be worried if they do.

hope this helps

What Can kill a betta fish other than a betta fish?

Well, if you love your Betta fish, then it should live by itself. But if you add another Betta to your current Betta fish's tank, then they will start a fight because Betta Fish are Siamese fighting fish and if one Betta is in contact of another Betta, the possible reason would be a fight between them two.

What kind of fish will be easy to breed and will get along with your other fish if you have a 10-gallon aquarium with a betta angelfish molly sepae tetra and a cleaner?

You don't! What you do is get a 55 gallon tank because angelfish won't be happy in a 10 gallon tank, and then you take the betta out of the tank (it will fight with your other fish) and just get more mollies and put lots of hiding places in the tank so the babies will live.
