My mom used to be a Girl Scout and she says that they would sometimes go on camping trips.

It depends on the troop and what the girls want to do. If you are interested in camping, then you should try to find a troop that likes to camp. If you are old enough, there are special scout groups called Venture, that focus on specific things such as camping or boating.

Have fun and do activities.

Girl Scouts do all kinds of things when they go camping.

They learn and practice basic camping skills like choosing a camping site, setting up tents, building a fire, cooking meals in a variety of ways (over a camp fire, dutch oven, vagabond stove, foil cooking, on a camp stove, using a stick, etc.), and cleaning up!

Girl Scouts may also choose to do a wide variety of activities and may even have a theme or a particular badge or skill they are working on such as hiking, learning about animals, caring for the environment, weather, swimming, canoeing, orienteering, and many other activities. There will also be singing, games, making crafts, possibly doing a community service project, and S'mores!
