It doesn't really matter what color the cake is as much as the size of the batter. Baking a cake is like the chain of life, it uses multiple components and if you take one away, then you will die or in this cake the cake will die. The chain goes as follows:

  1. Flavor
  2. Recipe
  3. Ingredients
  4. Batter Size
  5. Pan Size
  6. Baking Temperature
  7. Baking Time

The flavor creates your recipe.

The recipe tells you what ingredients you need.

The ingredients you use and the amount of the ingredients make the batter size.

The batter size gives you the size of the pan that you need.

The size of the pan will give you the temperature you need to bake the cake at.

And finally, the baking temperature will give you the certain amount of time needed to bake the cake.
