Yes

For something to be a dwarf planet, it has to orbit the sun, and have sufficient mass to use gravity to turn it into a sphere shape. If it has cleared it's orbit, then it is a regular planet. If it has not cleared its orbit then it is a dwarf planet. Clearing it's orbit means that it is the only planet in its path. This is not the case for Pluto, Eris, Ceres, and any other dwarf planet being discovered. Pluto is locked into orbit with Neptune, and Ceres has neighboring asteroids.

Pluto is now considered a dwarf planet. A new one was discovered in 2005, Eris, the largest dwarf planet orbiting our sun

So yes, dwarf planets orbit the sun.

Both dwarf planets and planets revolve directly around the Sun. This is one of the things they have to do to be classified as a dwarf planet or planet. The difference between the two is that a planet dominates its orbit ( is easily the largest thing at that distance), while a dwarf planet has not cleared its orbit. This distinction is still somewhat arbitrary but limits the actual "planets" to the largest eight.

Why the dwarf planets have moons?

planets have moons for day and night

Do any planets have less then 10 moons?

Yes. Many Planets and dwarf planets have less than 10 moons. Planets: Mercury- 0 moons Venus- 0 moons Earth- 1 moon Mars- 2 moon Neptune- 8 moons Dwarf planets: Pluto- 3 moons and many other dwarf planets that i don't know how many moons they have.

Do all dwarf planets have moons?

No. Of the five objects currently recognized as dwarf planets, two do not have moons. Those objects are Ceres and Makemake.

What makes a planet be classified as a dwarf planet instead of a moon?

Moons orbit planets. Planets (and dwarf planets) orbit stars.

What are moons natural satellites of?

Planets and anything like them. Moons orbiting stars are usually dubbed as dwarf planets.

Does mercury have any dwarf planets?

You mean moons? No.

How is a planet differant from a dwarf planet?

Well, dwarf planets are much much smaller than planets and some people may confuse some of Jupiter's largest moons as dwarf planets but because some people may look at the moons and confuse them with dwarf planets (i know someone who dose) !!

Are dwarf planets actually moons?

No, they are planets because they orbit the Sun, but they are not big enough to be proper planets.

Can dwarf planets have moons?

Yes, and they do. Not all of them have confirmed moons but some do. Pluto, for example, has four known moons.

Do most planets have moons that orbit around them?

Yes, most planets do have moons that orbit around them. In our own solar system, six out of eight planets have moons, and the dwarf planet Pluto also has moons. Only the two innermost planets, Mercury and Venus, do not have moons.

Can dwarf planets have moons why?

Yes. Of the five recognized dwarf planets only one, Ceres lacks a moon. Dwarf planets are massive objects, far more massive that ordinary asteroids and comets, so they have strong enough gravity to retain moons in stable orbits.

What planets do not have natural satellites or moons?

Only Venus and Mercury, unless you consider dwarf planets.
