There are two types of elephants that live in the African savannah. There's the African elephant, or Savannah elephant (as it is sometimes called), and then there's a subspecies called the Forest elephant. The Savannah elephant is larger than the Forest elephant and has tusks that curve outwards whereas the tusks of the Forest elephant are much straighter and point slightly downwards. Forest elephants are also darker than Savannah elephants.
Animals that live in the savanna include lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles. These animals have adapted to the grasslands environment by developing specialized behaviors and physical characteristics to survive in the savanna.
In the savanna, you can find animals like lions, zebras, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, and wildebeests. In the tropical savanna, animals such as elephants, gazelles, zebras, hippos, rhinos, and lions are common. Both regions support a wide variety of herbivores, predators, and scavengers adapted to the grassland environment.
