Other animal species can have AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) but not through an HIV infection as that virus so far only infects human cells. Other species have their own specific viruses that do the same thing that HIV does to human cells though, which would be to cripple the immune system, particularly memory and recognition immune cells.

Each species would have a specific virus but those can mutate and cross over to infect similar cells. HIV might have come from a virus that previously infected other apes which then mutated and ended up being perfect for targetting human cells.
