I'm not a mechanic / technician but I BELIEVE if the fuel injector is
restricted so that the proper air - fuel mixture is not getting to an engine
cylinder , that an engine cylinder misfire can occur ( that is only one of the
causes of an engine cylinder misfire )
Fuel injectors or coil
Yes they can, if one or more are either stuck open or not working at all it will cause a misfire.
get a tune up it could be the spark plugs not firing right or clean ur fuel injectors
well a misfire could be from several different things (spark plugs, wires, fuel injectors, or rarely just not timed right spark plugs and wires should be switched ever 20k-30k in miles check your owners manuel and wires to if its been longer i would recommend switching both of them and as for fuel injectors you should add fuel injection cleaner to your tank approximitly everytime you have your oil changed
the misfire my be caused by improper sparkplug gaps or bad injectors
Assuming this is a CFI (Central Fuel Injection) system, all you need to do is remove the upper intake to expose the bank of fuel injectors (aka the "Spider"). You can replace the individual poppet that is at fault. The injectors are available at your local auto parts store.
V6 engine - 6 fuel injectors V8 engine - 8 fuel injectors
Fuel injectors.
The average cost to clean fuel injectors is about $150. Fuel injectors are used to deliver fuel into an internal combustible engine.
If your Neon SRT-4 is experiencing a misfire, it is recommended to first check the spark plugs and ignition coils for any signs of damage or wear. Next, inspect the fuel injectors and fuel system for any issues. It's also a good idea to scan the car's computer for any error codes that may point to the source of the misfire.
Yes , it has ( 6 ) fuel injectors
