Best Answer

Yes. However blue eyes in cattle is quite rare, as most cattle have brown eyes, not blue. It's possible that blue-eyes is a recessive trait that only comes about if a cow is heterozygous for blue eyes and a bull is heterozygous with blue eyes mate, and even then the possibility of getting a calf that has blue eyes is only 25% or less. Since blue eyes is only happen-stance and never something that is bred for, unlike versus horned versus polled or black-hide versus red, it is considered something of a rarity and often gets a bit of attention from the media, whether uncalled for or not.

On the lighter side:

Yes - but the paint wears off quite quickly.

Cows have almost total 360 degree panoramic vision and are able to see colors, except red. They can detect odors up to 5 miles away. Cows can hear lower and higher frequencies better than humans.

Yes. Their eye sight is as good as a horse's, probably better in some regards. They lack depth perception in their peripheral vision above and below, and have relatively good depth perception looking straight forwards. They have a 330 degree peripheral vision which enables them to be able to see nearly all the way behind them. Like horses, they have a blind spot a fair ways behind them and a few inches from the nose.

No. Cows have eyelids just like you and I, and they need to shut them like we do when we sleep, or else the eyes will dry out and won't work.

Yes, a cow blinks very much like we do, to keep the eyeball moist and to clear it of any debris.

Yes, goats can and do blink their eyes. Their eyes do not require as much lubrication so they usually blink in a half a minute to one-minute intervals.
