Another Answer: The type of underwear my daughters wear is not a critical issue for us. My children have seen their father and mother nude and in every stage of dressing. Clothing can be turned into a sexuality issue; it should not be. Our children are comfortable with their bodies because their parents are. Our yougest is 8, she wears thongs, our oldest girl is 17, she wears thongs, as do all the girls.
Our girls and boys partially or completely shave their genitals because "mommy and daddy do." I wear thongs or go commando when I wear skirts and loose fitting clothing; so do my girls. It doesn't mean we are loose women. None of them are sexually active yet.
Often times these types of questions attract perverted answers. What a shame.
